Mogadishu, 25-4-2024; The State Minister of the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation, H.E. Sadad Alio, along with the Director General of Civil Registration Directorate, Mr. Abdikani Mohamed Wehliye, officially closed the Legal Identity, Return, and Reintegration training held in Mogadishu.
During his speech, the State Minister emphasized the significance of the training, stating, “This training was important for the various project operators carried out by the Federal Government agencies and Regional Governments, which I hope will greatly improve all agencies.”
The six-day training aimed to enhance the capacity of project operators involved in legal identity, return, and reintegration processes. The event concluded with the Director General overseeing the closing ceremony, attended by representatives from the Ministries of Interior of the federal member states, Banadir Regional administration, the National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA), and the National Commission For Refugees and IDPs (NCRI). Participants were awarded certificates in recognition of their successful completion of the program.
This initiative marks a crucial step in strengthening Somalia’s legal identity systems and ensuring effective coordination among government institutions.
